A BIT ABOUT ME

My name is Sharon McCulloch and I have been doing English language-related work such as translating, proofreading and English teaching for many years. I’ve worked in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Japan and the UK. I’m based in Lancaster.

I’ve done a lot of proofreading for corporate clients in the field of finance and audit, but these days I tend to proofread mainly research papers, assignments, dissertations and theses for students and academics. 

I have a PhD in Linguistics and am a qualified English language teacher. I also publish my own research in peer-reviewed journals, so can offer advice on writing for publication. My specialist areas are academic and professional writing. You can find my research publications here and here.
